Moose and Indy

There is something special about the loving presence that pets bring into a home. Our dog, Indy, and our cat, Moose, have become such an important part of our everyday lives.

Indy loves her morning cuddles, and both are usually nearby for morning cuddles and coffee. Wherever we go in the house, they seem to follow. Whether we are cleaning, working on something, or just moving from room to room, they must supervise and know exactly what is going on. Most mornings I am rushing to get ready and head off to work, but I really cherish the little moments I get with Indy and Moose before the day begins.

Moose especially loves watching us cook. She is in the kitchen with us so often that we have officially named the experience "Cooking with the Kitty." She takes her supervisory role very seriously, especially when food is involved. She is also a great mouser and always seems to be keeping an eye on the house.

Indy has her own routines too. She spends most of her day keeping my husband company and has even started joining him during his stretching exercises, almost as if she has decided that exercising together is now part of the family routine.

It is these simple, everyday moments that make them so special. They are our companions, our family and a constant loving presence that bring joy into our home.
