About

.Art has always been part of my life, even when it existed quietly in the background. I first discovered ceramics in high school and, after time away from the wheel, returning to clay felt like rediscovering a quiet piece of myself. My work is inspired by the world around me: nature, animals, outdoor adventures, and the quiet magic found in everyday moments. Alongside painting, I create both wheel-thrown and hand-built ceramic pieces, allowing the clay to guide each form through an organic, collaborative process. I enjoy learning about different processes and once in a while I may dabble in other art forms. Creativity, learning and adventure are close to my heart.

Through my work I try to convey connection; connection with spirit and who we are, connection with the people around us and connection with the world we live in. I hope my work brings a sense of joy, inviting people in, to pause, smile, and to sense the love and magic sprinkled into every piece.

As an artist, I am always learning and growing. As an elementary school teacher by trade, I also love sharing that joy with others. I enjoy teaching art classes and sharing the creative process. Teaching has deeply influenced how I approach creativity, process, and connection. I studied in the Bay Area and completed my undergraduate degree with a BA in Industrial Arts and Technology and hold a supplementary authorization in Art.

When I’m not in the studio or classroom, you’ll often find me outdoors, gardening, traveling, baking, exploring nature, or spending time with family, friends, and our pets.
